Based on the popular A-Series and B-Series platforms, the A+ and B+ feature integrated smart technologies that provide a wide range of benefits out of the box. Preloaded with over 30 sensor- specific parameters and over 8KB of free memory, the A+ and B+ set a new standard for plug-and-play sensors. With more than 15,000 storage slots, A+ and B+ sensors offer instrument manufacturers a variety of possibilities to streamline production, improve performance and enhance the end-user experience. Key benefits delivered by A + and B+ integrated smart technologies include: pre-calibrated sensors, traceability/route to market, maintenance, performance, compliance, interchangeability.
The A+ and B+ share the same typography, lead layout and transducer characteristics as their A-Series and B-Series counterparts, allowing them to be backwards compatible and interchangeable between models, but through Integrated Intelligence Technology (IST), the A+ and B+ Offers a range of advantages over the standard A and B series. The A+ and B+ IST chips are on par with the transmitter base and have over 15,000 memory slots. The Integrated Intelligence Technology (IST) board contains a memory chip and a temperature sensor, both connected to the same I2C bus and the same A power cord. The IST board also features local decoupling capacitors connected to the power lines and ESD/transient protection diodes on the I2C data lines (as shown).
Some parameters of B+ series smart sensors are as follows:

Maximum bus speed: up to 1 MHz
Input logic level: high level (recessive) < 2.3 V | low level (dominant) < 0.2 V
Absolute maximum input signal: 3.6 V
Supply voltage range: 1.7 V ~ 3.6 V
Supply Current – Standby: < 5 μA
Supply Current – Operation: < 0.15 mA (when reading temperature only) < 2.15 mA (when reading temperature + memory read/write)
Temperature sensor accuracy: ±1°C (-0°C ~ +70°C)
Memory data retention: > 200 years
Number of memory write codes allowed: > 4,000,000
